課程概述 |
Comprehensive overview of children’s involvement in violence as victims, witnesses, and perpetrators.
Prevalence and consequences of exposure to and involvement in various forms of violence.
Intervention strategies for CEV.
|

課程目標 |
Identify, describe, and explain the different types of violence children are exposed to and involved in.
Explain the methods used in measuring exposure to violence.
Knowledgeable in the prevalence and consequences of family violence, violence at school, media and community violence, and teen dating violence, as well as the interventions available.
Describe the characteristics of juvenile offenders.
Design a research project to address a pertinent issue in children’s exposure to violence.
Demonstrate ability to analyze and critique theories and research in psychology.
Practice dialogue facilitation, brainstorming, and group process skills.
Solidify writing and oral presentation skills.
